Matt Thomas is a Welsh artist and visual designer working across art, film, television and digital content. His practice explores place, identity and environment, combining traditional making and craft with contemporary digital processes.

His work spans illustration, production design, set dressing and visual communication, with recent art department credits including BBC Wales’ It’s My Shout, Pobol y Cwm and S4C’s Anfamol Series 2. Alongside screen work, Matt produces commissioned artwork and has exhibited across Wales.

Matt currently works as a Digital Content Apprentice with Public Health Wales, creating visual and digital content that brings creativity, storytelling and design into public health communications.

Outside his professional practice, he is a Scouts District Youth Lead for RCT and a Scout Leader with 1st Hirwaun Scouts, where his creativity, problem solving and sense of adventure play a central role in his work with young people.
